Artist Row 2021 Kicks off on May 1, 2021

Come shake off those winter blues at the grand opening of this season’s Artists' Row Market Day Launch Party.

On Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Artists’ Row will come alive with activity! Start the day at 10 a.m. when visitors can meet local artists, see them in their natural habitat, participate in free hands-on art-making activities, sign up for workshops, listen to some live tunes, grab a bite to eat and even do a bit of shopping. Just don a mask and come downtown for a visit.

The Chagall Performance Art Collaborative (ChagallPAC) will offer up an eclectic array of handcrafted jewelry, fiber arts, poetry books, painting, and more at its booth so passersby can get a taste of all the collective of artists has to offer. Visitors will also be able to engage with a variety of COVID safe hands-on art-making activities. From 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., visitors can enjoy the lively sounds of the Matt Savage Quartet, which will fill Artist’s Row.

Chagall PAC is a community of artists committed to collaborating across disciplines and exploring the ways people experience art. They believe art is never the same in any given moment, but rather evolving and continually being shaped by the imaginations of those who come into contact with it. Chagall PAC creates performances that involve audience participation and expand to the newest reaches of contemporary performance art.

ChagallPac is located in Unit 1 on Artists’ Row. The shop is currently open Fridays, 12 p.m. -6 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. After the May kick-off party, the shop will open every weekday, 12 p.m. - 6 p.m., as well as 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Visitors can also enjoy live music outside on Artists’ Row every Friday and Saturday night throughout the summer. Learn more at https://www.chagallpac.com/.

Beverly Bees will roll out a table where visitors can learn about bees and how to help them by planting a bee-friendly garden; view honeybees at work in their observation hive; and peruse a wide variety of hand-made locally harvested beeswax candles and gifts. They will also have their own raw honey, native bee houses and supplies, and bee-friendly organic seeds and plants available to purchase.

Beverly Bees is located on Artists’ Row in Unit 2. They offer handmade beeswax candles, award-winning honey, and bee skincare from their very own bees. Watch them make candles in hundreds of shapes and designs from pillars, tapers, votives, pumpkins, skulls, wolves, dragons, witches, zombies, and more. Get local raw honey fresh from the hive to tantalize your taste buds or handmade beeswax lip balms, lotions, and salves to delight your skin, and smell the sweet honey aroma of their handmade beeswax candles as they burn.

Beverly Bees is currently open Thursdays & Fridays, 12 p.m. -5 p.m. and Saturday & Sundays, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Starting in May, they will be open Wednesdays through Fridays, 12 p.m. -5 p.m. and Saturday & Sundays, 11 a.m. -5 p.m. Buzz in for a sweet time.
