ROOTS ON THE ROW// Nature Based Placemaking

As public artist in residence for the 2022 season, Maia Mattson will explore the local ecology and botany of Salem through nature based art making.

Each month we will explore our connection to local ecology through collaborative, nature based art making. Open to all, these workshops will be a time of inquiry, sharing, and making. The series will culminate in a community-created map celebrating the remarkable botany of Salem and the people who are rooted within it.

Studio open hours and workshops updated weekly at www.maia-mattson.com

Open June - December 2022
